During 2003 to 2009, Chris Nelson designed, manufactured and supported all spray tanning equipment sold by St Tropez, helping it become the leading salon brand of its time. He designed the first integrated spray tanning booth and so began the spray tanning booth revolution. He also invented the sticky foot protector, introduced by St Tropez in early 2003, now used by most tanning brands throughout the world.
Chris worked for many years selling, designing and project managing the manufacture of specialist automation for many sectors of industry, all over the world. It was his work in developing 6-axis robots for paint spraying applications which resulted with him being invited to develop the St Tropez equipment. Here, a sensational event in 1998 with multiple axis robots spraying paint onto catwalk models.
Chris now works exclusively for Crystals Limited. Extremely busy times as new & exciting equipment is being designed for leading tanning brands and a new range for Crystals, ready for UK launch in February 2011. The worlds first Robotic Spray Tanning Therapist is in final stages of test.
